Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I’m Carlee L. Brown, an author of emotionally immersive contemporary romance, women’s fiction, and dark romance. I write stories about love, heartbreak, healing, second chances, complicated relationships, family, forgiveness, recovery, and the strength it takes to keep going when life does not turn out the way we expected.
Writing has become such an important part of my life because I know what it means to make mistakes, carry regret, face hard seasons, and still hope for something better. My own experiences have taught me that people are complicated, healing is rarely simple, and sometimes the most beautiful parts of life come after the chapters we thought would break us.
That is the heart I bring into my books.
I want my characters to feel real. They will not always make the right choices. They may love the wrong person, stay too long, walk away, come back, struggle to forgive, or have to rebuild themselves from the ground up. But beneath all of that, I want my stories to carry hope.
Here on the blog, I’ll be sharing a little more of the world behind my books. You can expect sneak peeks from upcoming stories, character and book inspiration, writing updates, behind-the-scenes moments from my author journey, romance and reading conversations, release news, and occasional personal reflections about creativity, faith, hope, and starting over.
You’ll also hear plenty about my upcoming series, The Leaving Trilogy, beginning with Every Time You Leave. This series explores what happens when love is still there, but trust has been broken—and whether coming back is enough when someone has spent so long learning how to survive being left.
More than anything, I want this space to feel welcoming. I hope you feel like you can settle in, get to know me, meet the characters I love creating, and become part of this journey from the beginning.
If you enjoy emotional stories that make you ache, hope, cry, fall in love, and think about the characters long after the final page, I think you’ll feel right at home here.
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for giving my stories a place in your world.
I’m so glad you found me.
